Name: Cougar, also known as Puma, Catamount, American lion, Mountain lion, panther and painter.
Description: Large tawny or yellowish color, no spots, feline.
Location: America, from Canada to Patagonia, especially in mountains.

Cougars have five toes on the forepaws and four on the hind paws

Diet: Carnivorous but will eat insects when food is scarce.
Neat Fact: Cougar kittens are mottled with black spots and have ringed tails until they are about 6 months old. The Cougar is the second largest cat in the world.
