Heat oven to 350F.
Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a medium
bowl
until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, vanilla and
egg and
mix well. Combine dry ingredients and add in. Mix well.
Place cranberry sauce into a small bowl and beat with
a whisk
until you get a nice smooth consistancy.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie
sheet
and press thumb into the center of each cookie to make
a dent.
Spoon a scant teaspoon of cranberry sauce into the indent
in each cookie.
Bake for 15 minutes or until slightly firm to the touch
Makes about 3 dozen.
