A basic holiday cookie
2 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter - softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
- frosting, colored sugar, candies etc
Mix dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and sugar
until light and fluffy. Add in egg and extract. Mix with
ingredients and chill at least 1 hour until firm.
Roll out a portion of dough at a time, leaving the rest
refrigerated. Cut out with cookie cutters. Bake at 375F
for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Decorate as desired.
