Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and orange zest in a large
bowl
with electric mixer until light and fluffy. On low speed,
beat in flour until blended.
Divide dough in half and shape each half into a 6 inch
log.
Roll logs in orange sugar, wrap and refrigerate until
firm.
Cut into 1/4 inch thick slices and bake on a lightly greased
cookie sheet at 350F for 8 minutes until golden. Makes
48 cookies.
