Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cream Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Blend until creamy. Blend in egg. Combine flour salt and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture, gradually. Drop by tablespoonful onto a ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes
