Duckling:
Costume can grow with child - Use all white feathers for chicken and adjust as necessary;
- 3 yellow feather boas tied end to end
- Yellow sweat pants, stretch pants or leotards
- Yellow jacket/sweater/long johns etc
- White/yellow cap
- White/yellow boots or shoes
Go Pee First... Dress child in under layers - tie
feather boas end to end ... wrap body in boas -
Plastic duck bills optional, best used pinned to
headgear - Use year after year ... Excellent costume
idea.
Note
Mom - make sure the under layers are thick enough
to avoid poking of feather quills, or you'll get
complaints. Under layers need not be too warm (don't
worry about legs) as the feathers will be very warm.
Our 1st year with this one we used 1pc child's
pyjamas/long johns and the next time out we used
white leotards under yellow pants, and a polar fleece
jacket over a T-shirt on top. Baseball hats, bonnets,
winter hats etc all will work for head gear.
