For a recent charity fancy dress day, a group of us dressed up as Crayola crayons.
You need -
Firstly, work out how big your cylinder needs to be by wrapping one layer of corrugated cardboard around your shoulders, then make it a good few inches bigger. So that you can get in and out of it and you have an overlap for when you staple it together.
- Corrugated cardboard
- Hole Punch
Next paint it the colour you want to be and then add two black lines, one at the top and one at the bottom of the cylinder. If there are 7 people willing to do this then paint one letter of 'Crayola' on each colour, if not write 'Crayola' down the front of your cylinder.
Next you need to staple/tape it together at the back and staple strips of material in the same colour as your crayon to make shoulder straps.
Make a cone for a hat out of card and paint it the came colour as your cylinder. Hole punch at either side of the hat and attach some string to make sure the hat stays on.
Wear the same colour clothes as your crayon underneath and black shoes.
This went down really well when I did it for a charity fancy dress day.
Thanks to Victoria for this terrific idea and photo.
