Recipe........ - Pumpkin Dip
- 2 8oz. cream cheese
- 1 16oz. can of pumpkin
- 2t. pumpkin pie spice
- 4 c. powdered sugar
Beat all ingredients well. One suggestion is to dip gingerbread cookies.

Fact........
Pumpkins have been grown in America for over 5,000 years. They are indigenous to the
western hemisphere and were completely unknown in Europe before the time of Columbus.
Decorating........
Use a small Pumpkin, approximately 5" across. Using a round kitchen i.e. apple corer make several round holes all over pumpkin. Then with a hat brim only hot glue or glue flowers, leaves, any autumn accessories around hat brim place around pumpkin stem, place candle inside pumpkin for a different kind of decoration or centerpiece can be used all throughout fall season.

Decorating........Pumpkin Totem Pole
take 3 pumpkins, small,medium and a large one.
place the largest pumpkin on the bottom. Cut off part of the top , cut a hole in the bottom of the middle sized pumpkin and cut off part of the top of this one,
take the smallest one and cut a whole in the bottom of it. Take a string o white Christmas lights and wrap around a short
pole that is attached to a stand. Set the largest pumpkin on the pole, then place the middle size one on top of that, then the third one goes on top.
Carve each pumpkin in different designs. Plug the cord in and watch your totem pole come alive.

Recipe........Pumpkin Dandies
- 1 c. Libby's solid pack pumpkin
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. flaked coconut, lightly packed
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- Finely chopped walnuts or pecans
- Red or green candied cherries, optional
Mix 1st 5 ingredients well in a large heavy saucepan. Cook over medium
high, stirring constantly, 15-20 min. It is done when it is very thick
and leaves side of pan, forming a ball in the center as you stir. Turn
onto a buttered baking sheet. Cover loosely with foil or plastic
wrap. Let cool completely. Lightly butter hands. Shape candy into
balls. Roll in nuts. Top with cherry half if desired. Cover,
store in refrigerator. Yield 2 1/2 dozen.
