 Carving........Draw a picture of the face you want on your pumpkin on paper. Then lay the paper on the pumpkin and trace over it with a pencil. You will now have "cutting lines"

 Fact..............Pumpkins, gourds, and other varieties of squash are all members of the family Cucurbitacae, which also includes cucumbers, gherkins, and melons.
 Tip........Cook some of the seeds, but save some to plant for next year so you can keep getting pumpkins..

 Decorating............Cut a lid opening in top if pumpkin. Clean pumpkin, rinse and pat dry add a small piece of floral foam in the bottom of pumpkin and add dried leaves and autumn flowers either dried flowers or fresh. Makes a beautiful fall decoration and table centerpiece.

 Halloween Birthday...........This year,on my daughters b-day(Oct.26),we are having a Halloween/Birthday party.On the fence post entering our front yard we are going to have 6 pumpkins.The first one will be carved to say,"Welcome".The next five will spell out KAYLA (each carved with a letter from her name).It will look really neat with all of our other Halloween yard decor.
