Prepare cake mix, pour batter into approximately 24 lined cupcakes. Bake as per directions on box.
Prepare frosting, or use store-bought. Two colors required.
Once cupcakes are cool frost tops with one color. With second color use a pastry bag or frosting tube to make three circles in middle of cupcake. Start in middle and go outwards. Take a sharp knife and score the cupcakes from centre outwards to make the web pattern. Clean knife in between scores.
Top with fake spiders and serve!
