Hi, I’m Sam. It’s hard to describe myself because I consider there are lots of different parts to my personality. I am 16 years old. My main hobby is reading. I am a huge fan of the Winnie-the-pooh books by A. A Milne. I know they are mainly based at younger children but hey. Just because a person is meant to be mature and grown-up doesn't mean they can't lapse back now and again. Personally I don't think you are ever too old to do anything. Except maybe sky diving.

Another hobby of mine is music. I adore music. My favourite bands include The Corrs, Robbie Williams, Vanessa Carlton, Linkin’ Park, Savage Garden and Travis. I don’t acutely dislike anybody in the music business- they all have different styles. I also love to play music. I used to play the flute, but didn’t get very far with it. I can play the piano a little. For a long time I’ve wanted a violin, and it is my goal to own and learn to play one.

As I said, I love to read. Apart from Winnie-the-pooh I love true crime stories (the ones which make you look all around as you finish in case the murderer is in the room with you), and anything historical. I recently read the saddest book I have ever read- I cried as I read it. I don’t like the point Horror books- I think they are pretty unrealistic, although I’ll read them to work out who did it, just for fun.

What else do I like? Well, I do cross-stitch now and again. I draw, I talk (too much sometimes!) and I play games. (On and off-line.) I also love films. My favourite musical is The Sound of Music and my favourite film is The Green Mile or The Lord of the Rings.

I’m a football fan (European football, what you American and Canadian folk would call soccer), and also a sort of sports fanatic, once I get going (you have to get me out of bed first). I love to swim, run and dance.

What else am I? I am a cook. I love cooking. Maybe I’ll make a site with my favourite recipes and post a link here. (Glimmer of an idea beginning to frizzle).I am lazy. I am the ultimate couch potato, although ifI make the effort, I am more than active.

Umm…I have three pets, a dog, a rabbit and a hamster (the hamster clamped her teeth on my thumb earlier today and wouldn’t let go…she was hanging off my thumb with her teeth- boy did that hurt…)

I guess that’s all there is to know about me. There’s a lot more that defines who I am- my sense of humour, my love of life, my opinions on certain things, and so on. Why not come onto the forums and find out more about me? I’ll leave you with a quote from the Winnie-the-pooh books:
