Lilly Badilly Writing Contest
Young Readers are invited to write a short story about one of their own real life or imaginary travel adventures anywhere in the world. The best story will be published on smartpoodlepublishing.com or lillybadilly.com. Three winners will each receive a free copy of the Travel Adventures of Lilly P. Torah Art Contest
Participants need to choose a verse from the Tanach, which includes Torah (the Bible), Nevi’im (Prophets) and Kesuvim (Scriptures). Then, they may illustrate what the pasuk means to them using any artistic medium, such as painting, drawing, collage, photography or sculpture. Girls only. Ends June 30.
Tiger Woods Fist Pump Challenge
Tiger Woods has launched an online contest designed to help young people identify and share their greatest achievements. As part of the Challenge, Tiger is asking young people everywhere to share their very own Fist Pump Moments with the world via www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org. To share their Fist Pump Moment, children are asked, with their parents’ permission, to visit www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org, and submit a video including their name, age, Fist Pump Moment, significance of that experience, and end with a fist pump. Those without video access can post an essay style entry. Video and written entries will be voted on by website visitors with prizes going to the highest ranked submissions. Prizes include iPods, Tiger Woods ’08 EA Video Games, and gift cards.
