Before you fire up that computer.........

First thing you need to know is where are you going to put this masterpiece web page you plan to make. Since you are reading this - obviously you have access to the Internet. What you need to find out - is once you create your page - where will you store it online?

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is the first place to check. See if the service you are using offers free space to its users for personal pages. If someone else in the family is already using this space don't give up you still have other options. Many online sites offer space online to store your page - as well have some good advice to create one.

Ok, you found a place to put your web page. Now it's time to start thinking about making it.

Nope, don't touch that computer yet! It's a good idea first to layout on paper some ideas about what you want your web page to be. Do you want a personal page about you, your family and hobbies? A topical page on your favorite sport? What about a page on your favorite music group? What about a page on your town or city? The ideas are endless but it is up to you try and focus on one thing for now while you are starting out.

Pick a theme for your web page then jot down some ideas about what you want to say or present to the world! Gather up the information you want to present - any pictures or artwork you might want to use and yes NOW you can make your web page!!
