Blueberry Crisp

Some parental supervision needed

Ingredients

  • 41/2 cups - 1000 mL fresh blueberries
  • 1/3 cup - 75 mL sugar
  • 2 teaspoons - 20 mL lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons - 60 mL shortening
  • 1/3 cup - 75 mL brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup - 75 mL flour
  • 3/4 cup - 175 mL oatmeal
Instructions
Place berries in greased 1 1/2 quart deep dish. Sprinkle with white sugar and lemon juice.

Cream shortening and brown sugar, add flour and oatmeal. Mix well until crumbly.

Sprinkle over top of berries.

Bake 40 minutes in 350 degree F - 180 degree C oven. Serve warm or cold.
