Update: August 31, 2007:
Fall is upon us in Northern Ontario. We had another frost warning last night so decided to harvest and save what we could.
We managed to get a few nice sized cucumbers and peppers but pulled the plants. We also dug up all the potatoes, looks like our best batch ever. Lots of large red potatoes along with some tasty looking small ones.
We left the carrots in the ground since frost shouldn't harm them, we did pull a nice bunch to nibble on. We also left the tomatoes on. They were safely covered last night. No harm done - with a few warm and sunny days we should have some red ones.
Our sunflowers are taller but still no flower heads. Not sure we'll see any flowers this year.
That's about it for the KTC Garden this year. The composter is full and the nights are getting chilly. You can see photos of are harvest by clicking on the vegetable names at the right.
See you next year!
