Disney Adventures All-Star Program
How are you spending your summer? In addition to cruising the Internet and spending time on Kids' Turn Central, you can spend some time with friends, volunteering and giving back to your community, as part of the Disney Adventure All-Stars program.
The program encourages kids to show their character by participating in volunteer activities. Program winners will be profiled in Disney Adventures Magazine and win a trip to Los Angeles to help the cast of the hit Disney Channel show, Lizzie McGuire, with a volunteer project.
The program, which kicks off in May, encourages kids age 6-14 to complete a volunteer project, whether by joining an existing project or creating one of your own. Participants must complete a 200-300 word project description by Oct. 1, 2002. Kids can compete on their own, or in groups of two or more.
Entries will be judged and the winner will receive $1,000 for the organization of their choice, plus a trip to California to meet and participate in a volunteer project with the cast of Lizzie McGuire.
Winners and their projects will also be featured in the May 2003 Disney Adventures Magazine. To enter, participants just need to go to the program Web site, and register. Each registered All-Star will also receive a T-shirt to display their spirit of volunteerism.
This program is being supported by DisneyHAND, the worldwide outreach program for The Walt Disney Company. The program was created to inspire volunteerism and recognize kids who help their communities.
