As the seeds germinated, Connie realized kids want to plant things but the seed spacing and depth is a challenge so - she decided to make it easy. That’s what led to her design of a burlap and paper “seed mat” with Tomato, Lettuce, Carrots, Radishes and Snow Peas all attached in perfect number and perfect spacing all ready to plant.

Better Homes and Gardens thought it so unique they tested before putting it in their May ‘09 issue. San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyle magazine featured Amber’s Garden over six pages in the March ’09 issue and The National Gardening Association gives it a thumbs up as well!

The Salad Garden seed mat is 6 foot long by 14 inches wide and is ready to plant after a few minutes of soil preparation. “I tried to keep the space requirements to a minimum in the hope that more households could give gardening a try no matter where they live” said Connie.
