Amber’s Garden Introduces Kids to Gardening

Amber's Garden - Salad Garden

Carlsbad, CA - (Virtual Press Office) - Connie Henderson had that “lightbulb moment” when her daughter, Amber planted some sunflower seeds, after careful instructions from Connie on how to plant them Amber planted all of the seeds in one place. As the seeds germinated, Connie realized kids want to plant things but the seed spacing and depth is a challenge so - she decided to make it easy. That’s what led to her design of a burlap and paper “seed mat” with Tomato, Lettuce, Carrots, Radishes and Snow Peas all attached in perfect number and perfect spacing all ready to plant.

Better Homes and Gardens thought it so unique they tested before putting it in their May ‘09 issue. San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyle magazine featured Amber’s Garden over six pages in the March ’09 issue and The National Gardening Association gives it a thumbs up as well!

The Salad Garden seed mat is 6 foot long by 14 inches wide and is ready to plant after a few minutes of soil preparation. “I tried to keep the space requirements to a minimum in the hope that more households could give gardening a try no matter where they live” said Connie.

Amber's Garden products include a Salad Garden, Herb Garden, Summer Crop, Pumpkin Patch, Gourd Garden, Salsa Garden and Sunflower Garden and for 2010 they will add an Aisian Garden and a Rainbow Root Vegetable Garden. “I am confident that retailers will reap the benefits of increased sales with this unique product and the products will also appeal to educators, daycare providers and maybe be included in fundraising opportunities for churches, schools, sporting teams, drama classes, dance studios, Girl and Boy Scouts” explained Connie.

Amber’s Garden products can be purchased online at www.ambersgarden.com and at Garden Centers throughout the United States.
