Another group of people who love Teddies is The Teddy Bear Foundation a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children and their parents who rely on community outreach services for their survival.

They offer love, comfort and security to children during turbulent times in their lives in the form of cuddly teddy bears.

Last year, more than 25,000 new teddy bears were collected and distributed to less fortunate, ill, or lonely children across America. Many of the recipients were children who suffered loss as a result of September 11th or had to say good-bye to a parent that was deployed to fight for our country.

Kids Can Help Too!

The Foundation hosts "The Kids Helping Kids Program" which offers children an introduction to philanthropy, the practise of doing good to one's fellow man.

Within this program,“Cub Club” Membership encourages children to participate in fun activities throughout the year, that serve as fundraisers for the Teddy Bear Foundation. "Cub Club" membership is open to children 18 years or younger. A $10 membership will give a child the opportunity to become part of a compassionate effort that will bring smiles and happiness to thousands of underprivileged children, many who are in crisis.

If you don't want to join the club you can still donate a new Teddy Bear to the foundation.
