Play Along® Introduces Exciting New Care Bears™ to Commemorate their 25th Anniversary and First Ever Theatrical Release

As part of the Care Bears 25th anniversary celebration, Play Along®, a division of JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (Nasdaq:JAKK), will be unveiling its line of lovable bears with a whole new look, plus a limited edition 25th Anniversary Bear at the 2007 American International Toy Fair.

Along with the exciting new Care Bears products and all new entertainment, American Greetings Properties, brand owner, and The Joester Loria Group, exclusive licensing agent for the brand, have developed a full year of retail and marketing promotions celebrating the 25th Anniversary, including the debut of the first ever Care Bears float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
This fall, the Care Bears plush toys will have an all-new look based on the characters from the new Care Bears movie Oopsy Does It, which is scheduled for theatrical release in August 2007. The Care Bears fresh, new look will be introduced to consumers this year through entertainment, as well as a full line of all new consumer products. To celebrate the silver anniversary of these much-loved characters, the new limited edition Commemorative 25th Anniversary Care Bear will be released in the fall of 2007. Each Anniversary Bear will be accompanied by a special DVD containing the very first Care Bears episode ever, called The Land Without Feelings. This never-before-released episode was created back in the 1980’s, and was never released for distribution.
