Rubik’s Revolution™ from Techno Source Puts a 21st Century Spin on the Classic
Electronic Rubik’s® Cube Lights up American International Toy Fair

New York, NY – February 9, 2007 – Every February, leaders in the toy industry come to New York City seeking the next toy phenomenon and asking one question, “What will be the next Rubik’s® Cube?” Finally, there is an answer. Techno Source, a leader in electronic toys and games, has truly created the “next Rubik’s Cube”- Rubik’s Revolution™. The dynamic, interactive cube will debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City (February 11th – 14th, 2007; booth #3057). The new electronic cube, which challenges both your mind and dexterity, offers a revolutionary spin on the classic Rubik’s Cube that redefined the standard for all puzzle products that followed.

“Since Rubik’s Cube was introduced in 1980, it has sold nearly 300 million pieces, making it an obsession, not to mention a pop icon, recognized around the world,” says Eric Levin, Executive Vice President of Techno Source. “Rubik’s Revolution was designed to be the perfect complement to the original 3x3 cube. It was born from the spirit of the original, yet it provides a whole new take on cubing. It is about speed. It is about smarts. It is a challenge worthy of the Rubik’s name.”

Rubik’s Revolution contains at least six built-in games that feature light, sound and voice effects with numerous ways to play and multiple levels waiting to be unlocked. Ideal for puzzle lovers from 5 to 105, the new electronic cube offers not only individual play, but also exciting multi-player gaming. Its six core games include: Light Speed™, Rapid Recharge™, Pattern Panic™, Cube Catcher™, Code Cracker™, and Multiplayer Madness™.

“Rubik’s Revolution is truly innovative. It’s rare that a follow-up can match or even surpass the original in respect to creativity, game play, and fun, but Techno Source has developed a product that achieves this feat,” says Jim Silver, editor-in-chief of Toy Wishes magazine. “They've kept the key ingredients in that it’s simple to play, but extremely challenging. Anyone with a competitive streak simply won’t be able to put it down.”

Professor Rubik, the original Cube’s inventor, adds, “After more than 25 years, the Rubik’s Cube has remained the ultimate puzzle for all ages. This new addition to the Rubik's lineup captures the essence of the original yet adds an exciting new spin.” Rubik’s Revolution will be available at retail nationwide this summer at an M.S.R.P. of $19.99. Through a licensing agreement with Seven Towns Ltd., international developers, agents and licensors for many of the nation’s favorite toys and games, and the manager of the rights to the Rubik’s brand, Techno Source has exclusive worldwide rights to develop and distribute electronic handheld and tabletop games under the Rubik’s name. The agreement was brokered by Seven Towns’ Licensing Agency in North America, The Sharpe Company, Inc.
