Code, Create, and Collect with Codee at the American International Toy Fair - Techno Source Booth #3137

NEW YORK, NY - February 12, 2012 -Toy innovator Techno Source, a division of LF Products, is introducing a new line of toys for 2012 that will appeal to the imagination of children and adults alike. Codee, an original patent-pending coded link system, is a fidget toy, puzzle, activity toy, and collectable all in one. Each Codee is comprised of simple flexible blocks, marked with letters and symbols, linked together into one long strand. Anyone easily can follow the provided codes to create assorted animals and objects, or imagine and design their own creation. Codee makes its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City this week February 12th-15th, 2012, where attendees can experience the simple joy of creating with Codee for themselves (Techno Source booth #3137). Codee will be available for purchase at mass and specialty retailers in fall of 2012.

"Codee is unlike any other toy currently on the market," said Eric Levin, Division Head, Techno Source. "It combines the great tactile play experience of a fidget toy, with puzzle solving, open-ended creative play, and collectability. Once you pick one up, you're sure to be addicted!"

Codee was inspired by scientific models used for a graduate thesis project conducted recently by a student exploring DNA strands and nanotechnology at MIT - one of the world's most prestigious technological universities. Despite these lofty origins, these unique Codee strands are remarkably simple and elegant in their design, and are nearly impossible to put down. Each Codee link can be twisted and rotated to create amazing things out of just one single strand of 64 links. Just Code, Create, and Collect! Every Codee package includes a code anyone can follow to build a coded creation. Each flexible block numbered one through 64 has letters A to E printed on one side, and letters F to J printed on the opposite side. The interlocking pieces feature four symbols: (>), (+), (-) or (ยท). Twist and rotate each block to find the correct letter/symbol combination (for example, a code may say 1 + E, 2 > A and so on) and then continue on with the next part of the code. Follow the included code step by step or make your own coded creation. Each link position is labeled to allow you easily to decode your creation, so you can share it with others and make it again and again.

Levin adds, "Whether you choose to follow the included codes to make impressive collectable figures, or you choose to let your imagination run wild, there is no limit to what you can create with Codee. In today's social media world, we expect to see people build communities organically to share their creations, codes, and videos with one another. We can't wait to see what people come up with!"

Codee is available in six single-color strands which come with a mystery code: black, orange, green, blue, pink, and white. Additionally, a Special Edition Codee series, engineered to allow you to build very specific Codees, is available in six themed two-color strands: Robot (Black and White), Scorpion (Orange and Black), Alligator (Green and Black), Flamingo (White and Pink), Penguin (Black and White), and Pig (White and Pink). Each Codee strand comes with fun attachable accessories to bring your coded creation to life. Great for developing fine motor skills. Appropriate for those ages 6 and up. MSRP: $7.99 each.
