BOSSA NOVA ROBOTICS UNVEILS iloveRobots™ BRAND AT NEW YORK TOY FAIR 2010

BLAZOR Line to Include Prime-8, Penbo and a New Robot, Blazor, Based on Bossa Nova's Legged Robotics Technology

NEW YORK - Toy Fair 2010 – (Virtual Press Office) - Bossa Nova Robotics, a consumer robotics company known for their incredibly dynamic and interactive robots, will reveal its new toy brand iloveRobots at New York's American International Toy Fair, February 14-17, 2010. iloveRobots personifies children's excitement for robotics and their longing to share their enthusiasm with parents, siblings and friends. The iloveRobots brand will feature all of Bossa Nova's robotic toys, including Blazor, the all-new fast running, raging raptor, Prime-8, the ultimate guardian robot, and Penbo, the lovable interactive penguin.

Each iloveRobots product is based on Bossa Nova’s running legged technology inspired from robots at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, where Bossa Nova spun off as a company in 2005. With a vision to bring personal robots to every home, Bossa Nova spent two years re-engineering the technology to make it affordable and capable of age-appropriate, robot-human interactivity. The resulting combination of an intensely engaging play experience and the magic of agile robots has become the foundation of the iloveRobots line.

"As we were developing our 2010 line, we recognized the need for a brand that showcased our robots' interactivity," said Martin Hitch, CEO, Bossa Nova Robotics. "iloveRobots was inspired by a simple concept - kids take pride in showing off their new toys and want to share their experiences with people they admire like their mom, dad, brother and sister."

Hitch continued, "iloveRobots will be a recognizable and memorable brand known for quality robots that will bring discovery and excitement to the playroom."

Bringing serious science and serious fun to Toy Fair (Booth #3163), Bossa Nova's 2010 iloveRobots line will include the following products:

BLAZOR (iloveRobots/Ages 4 - 8/Approx. Retail Price: $39.99/Available: Fall 2010)
This raging raptor is a swift and sly high-tech dino who hunts and defends at your command! With maximum speed, Blazor goes from 'Search & Destroy' mode, where he instinctively explores his environment, tracks down his prey and attacks, to 'Guard' mode, becoming a silent and obedient protector who growls at intruders then spins and roars to drive them away, to ‘Direct Control’ mode, where the owner controls the raptor’s every move - where he goes, when he stops, and when he strikes. Each of Blazor’s three modes offers kids hours of fun as Blazor interacts with his owner and environment. His advanced intelligence and built-in sensors means that he can avoid obstacles, detect movement, play with other Blazors (or even Prime-8!) and obey controller commands. Owners can also control Blazor’s mood through his jaw, tapping or holding it to wake him up, rile him up and calm him back down. But if it's held too long, Blazor might fight back!

PRIME-8
(iloveRobots/Ages 8 - 12/Approx. Retail Price: $79.99/Available: Fall 2010)
Using innovative robotic biped technology, Prime-8 is a fast, powerful and fun gorilla robot with a strong personality. Responding to loud noises, Prime-8's personality radically transforms from a friendly, funny gorilla with blue eyes to a ‘Gone Bananas!’ robot, beating the floor and roaring from the top of his lungs, with circuits crackling and furious red eyes. Prime-8 has a 'Good Gorilla,' 'Gone Bananas,' and ‘Guard’ personality. In ’Guard’ mode, Prime-8 protects his owner and guards a bedroom by firing rubber tipped safety rockets at intruders (like mom, dad or a little sister). Prime-8 has three modes of play; in autonomous mode, Prime-8 wanders around his environment exploring and sniffing furniture; in programmable mode you get to program ten actions; and in remote control mode you get to make him run on his arms. Boys will love the speed and power of this fast-paced robot, and to show off Prime-8's amazing features and hilarious personality traits to all of their friends.

PENBO
(iloveRobots/Ages 4-6/Approx. Retail Price: $59.99/Available: Fall 2010)
Penbo is a lovable, interactive and waddling penguin with her baby. She responds to touch with blinking eyes, flapping wings, and cooing sounds. This adorable penguin robot comes with a surprise: she lays an egg! When the egg is opened, out comes Bebe - a tiny baby penguin that will chirp and communicate with its mother. Mommy listens to Bebe and responds in her own Penguish language! When the child places Bebe in Penbo’s pouch the two sing to one another while the mom dances with joy. Penbo plays five fun games with you and Bebe including tag, hide and seek and peek-a-boo.
