CARRERA FLASHES BACK TO THE HAPPY DAYS WITH TWO COLLECTIBLE CLASSICS: '57 CHEVY AND '60 PLYMOUTH FURY
1:32 SCALE CLASSIC MEMORIES RACING SYSTEM SET TO SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL AT TOY FAIR `08
NEW YORK, NY – (February 17, 2008) – Carrera of America, the world's leading brand of slot cars and racetrack systems, will take Toy Fair '08 attendees back in time with the debut of its new Classic Memories slot car and track set February 17-20.
Featuring the famed '57 Chevrolet® Bel Air Coupe and legendary 1960 Plymouth® Fury in original form and detail on a 1:32 scale, Carrera's Classic Memories Set captures the nostalgia of "the happy days" and transports drivers, race fans and collectors alike back to the time when both classics could be found dragging the strip and speeding to the local sock hop.
"General Motors' '57 Chevy® and '60 Plymouth® Fury were innovative in their day," says Alan Hess, President of Carrera America. "Both models' body styling, revolutionary suspensions and transmissions make them a natural addition to Carrera Evolution's high performance, original-licensed offerings. With this new set, we're reviving and refreshing timeless classics in a fun, exciting way."

With lines low and wide and fins high, GM's '57 Chevy® (27257) and the '60 Plymouth® Fury (27253) move like lightening in Carrera's newest Evolution car and track set, Classic Memories (25158). Put the pedal to metal as two of America's original muscle cars go head-to-head down more than 17 feet of track. Don't worry about losing your pink slip; the set's mechanical speed controllers level the playing field for fair, accurate racing fun. Racing 1:32 scale replicas on Carrera's 1:24 Mega Track means there's lots of extra shoulder room for realistic drifting and power sliding around two 60-degree turns.
In addition to packaging as part of the Classic Memories Set, Carrera is also offering both the '57 Chevrolet® Bel Air Coupe and 1960 Plymouth® Fury as part of its 2008 line-up of Carrera Digital 1:32 cars. The Digital 1:32 '57 Chevrolet® Bel Air Coupe is available in three color schemes: red and white (27257), custom yellow with flames (27259) and black and white (27258). The Digital 1:32 1960 Plymouth® Fury is available in both red and white (30442) as well as black and white (30443).
