Razor® Reveals the PowerWing™ Three-Wheeler at American International Toy Fair 2008
Leading Brand Enhances Original RipStik for Ultimate Grinding Experience

RipStik® NEW YORK – February 17, 2008 – RipStik® – one of the holiday’s best selling toys – has gotten even better with the launch of the RipStik “G”, the ultimate grinding machine! The RipStik “G” will be introduced at the 2008 American International Toy Fair in New York, February 17-20. RipStik will occupy booth #2206 on the third floor of the Javits Convention Center.

The RipStik “G,” which stands for “grind,” features a spinning aircraft-grade aluminum “G” tube in the center for an extreme grinding experience. Like the original RipStik, the “G” melds the motions of surfing and snowboarding into one distinctive ride for dry land. Riders can carve downhill like a snowboarder or rocket uphill, all by slightly bending their knees and twisting their hips.

The inclined caster trucks and rider’s body movement create kinetic movement that is responsible for continuously propelling the RipStik “G” forward with no pushing – just twist and go! “The launch of the RipStik has ignited a nationwide trend and lead to numerous awards – including a Toy of the Year nomination – proving there is no other product on the market that provides the sheer fun and feeling of carving on dry land,” said Carlton Calvin, president of Razor USA, manufacturers of the RipStik.

“With the launch of the RipStik ‘G,’ riders are challenged even more, as they can test their skills with endless trick possibilities.” With the aluminum “G” tube as its core differentiating characteristic, the RipStik “G” also features original RipStik board components, including:

  • Plastic end platforms that rotate independently are connected by a torsion bar, giving the rider the ability to tilt for sharp turns, execute precision moves and perform front side and backside 360s
  • Urethane wheels with ABEC-5 bearings on 360 degree inclined casters
  • Traction pads on each platform
  • Kick tail and raised kick nose with concave design for tricks and improved footing
The RipStik “G” is for use by riders ages 8 and up and is available at retail for a suggested price of $99.99.
