YOUNG SCIENTISTS CLUB REVEALS 2010 THEMES: SOLAR ENERGY, ANIMAL TRACKS, AND DINOSAURS

The Young Scientists Club

Experiment and Play With the Newest Science Kits and Games

Jamestown, RI (May 10, 2010) – Ever wonder what the mothers of little Albert Einstein [future Nobel Prize winner] or little Valerie Frizzle [future Magic School Bus teacher with the moniker Ms. Frizzle] gave to their brainy kids to satisfy their growing curiosity beyond their school lessons? They would have craved the award-winning collection of science kits created for budding (dare we say) Einsteins. The Young Scientists Club is delighted to announce its newest releases for 2010 with solar energy, animal tracking, and dinosaurs as themes.

The Young Scientists Club continuously wins the top toy industry awards, year after year, for their novel approach to science education. New for Spring 2010 are science kits to unlock the secrets of animal tracks, recreate global warming in a bottle, and design a diorama for dinosaurs! These new kits join dozens of best sellers that teach a wide range of topics and instill a love for science.

Harvard-educated Esther Novis founded The Young Scientists Club to fill a void of good quality science products for young children that would engage girls as well as boys in an exciting and positive manner. As a mom herself, she believed children should to be exposed to the exciting fields of science at an early age with fun and engaging hands-on games, activities, and experiments that are accompanied by ageappropriate information on specific science topics.

Here are this year’s introductions:

ABOUT THE YOUNG SCIENTISTS CLUB
Esther Novis, a mother of five and a former Harvard-trained biologist, started The Young Scientists Club as a summer science camp for her then 5-year-old son. Friends from other parts of the country told Novis they wanted to duplicate her concept and the idea for a science subscription service was born! The subscription kits are now mailed monthly to thousands of children around the world and the company’s retail kits are sold in hundreds of specialty stores.

In addition to developing new products for The Young Scientists Club, this wise mom has many years of experience teaching at Phillips Academy, Andover and has written the science column for Parents Magazine plus wrote science experiments for the new science curriculum by McGraw-Hill Publishing.
