WABA Fun's "Superstructs Wacky Machines" Receives A 2011 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award

Loveland, CO (August 22, 2011) – When WABA Fun first announced it would include a "Watcha-Ma-Call-It" in the Superstructs Wacky Machine set, people were a bit fublibbled. But once kids got their hands on these crazy-creative construction sets, they were not only building "Watcha-Ma-Call-Its," but it's rumored that several "How-Cool-Zees-Eez," "Thing-A-Ma-Huhs" and "Who-Zee-Whats-Its" were built, as well. WABA Fun was rewarded for its excellent efforts by receiving a "2011 You-Know-What!" (aka the 2011 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award.)

Founded in 1989 by mother and daughter child development experts, Joanne and Stephanie Oppenheim, the Oppenheims review the best in children's media on their website (www.toyportfolio. com). Their awards have become the benchmark of excellence with both consumers and industry insiders. The Oppenheims are Contributors to NBC's TODAY Show. Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Awards are given to outstanding new products that enhance the lives of children. At the end of the year, the Oppenheims consider their Gold winners for elevation to Platinum status. Here's what the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio judges had to say about WABA Fun's building toy set:

Superstructs Wacky Machines ~ Early School Years ~ $65.00
"Newest set in a construction toy line we really love. Superstructs are like your old Tinkertoy set---on steroids! Kids can construct seven different models with this big 175-piece set. What's new are the 16 large gears that add motion to the Superstructs. It comes with a 59-page step-by-step building guide to help kids create a ferris wheel, clock, a drilling car, a thumping watcha-ma-call-it, a three-wheeled car, a crane with gears and a lawn mower. Kids can build these or create structures from their own imaginations. Comes in a sturdy storage container. Pieces are dishwasher safe. 5 & up. The company has signed a verification form complying with our safety requirements. We did not independently test this toy in a lab."
