Millburn, NJ (September 17, 2008) – I spy a doctor of toys, a game liked by boys, a top prize for ’08, child’s play that’s top rate. Unscramble the clue and it’s easy to see that Briarpatch, winner of 300 awards and counting, has been honored by Dr. Toy for I SPY™ Private Eye, named one of the year’s 10 Best Games, part of the 2008 Dr. Toy’s 100 Best Children’s Products list.
Dr. Toy’s 100 Best Children’s Products award program was developed by noted child development authority Stevanne Auerbach, Ph.D. (aka Dr. Toy) as a service to consumers who desire to purchase safe, affordable, educationally oriented, stimulating toys and products for children.
While Dr. Toy awards 100 products with her recognition in various play categories, Briarpatch’s most recent I SPY game was one of only 10 quality products that made her Best Games category list.
Based on Scholastic’s best-selling book series, this I SPY game increases the challenges from last year’s award-winning I SPY 3-D and I SPY Seeing Double by recalling what you spied after just 30 seconds. Girls and boys can become daring detectives by matching picture blocks in the Private Eye jumbler with the picture cards hidden from view. To play, just press the timer, remove the lid and memorize everything you see. When the timer beeps 30 seconds later, replace the lid. Now turn over the top I SPY card and match every object you can recall from the blocks.
The I SPY Private Eye game is recommended for children ages 4 and older. Retailing for $24.99, the game can be found nationwide at specialty retail outlets, major store chains and online.
