VEXplorer Robotics System Now Widely Available

Northbrook, IL (September 19, 2007) – Revell today announced the national availability of its highly anticipated VEXplorer robotics system that provides endless opportunities for novice inventors and robotics fanatics to build and operate robots to do what they want. This follows online pre-order sales that underscore the growth of consumer interest in robotics.

"Early reviews of VEXplorer demonstrated that both kids and adults want to create and innovate," said Mike Brezette, Revell marketing vice president. "We saw tweens using VEXplorer to help clean their rooms and guard against room intruders, while college students created VEXplorer configurations we could only dream about."

VEXplorer provides versatility and ease of construction so that inventors can be controlling and exploring with their robot in less than an hour. VEXplorer will also challenge those inventors with more experience, offering additional parts for individualized design. The SolidWorks Student Design Kit included with VEXplorer provides opportunities for endless robot design as users download parts from the Internet and use the same photo, animation and drawing software tools used by engineering professionals.

VEXplorer is now available at toy and discount merchandise retailers including Toys "R" Us, Fred Meyer and Hobby Lobby, as well as at hobby stores across the nation. Online toy, hobby, discount merchandise and consumer electronic retailers include amazon.com, target.com, toysrus.com, fredmeyer.com, walmart.com, hobbytownusa.com, towerhobby.com, greatplanes.com, compusa.com, discoverthis.com, etoys.com, museumtour.com and hammackerschlemmer.com.
