PBS Taps Panache to Create In-Video Games for Kids

PBS KIDS GO! Triples Online Video Viewership with Panache

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- May 20, 2009 PBS and Panache, the platform for major media and entertainment companies, today announced integration of Panache’s platform into PBS’s video management system, allowing PBS producers to place interactive game elements within any video content. Games run directly inside the PBS KIDS GO! video player based on Adobe® Flash® technology, combining interactive, multi-media elements with curriculum-based content to foster greater learning comprehension for early elementary school children.

The PBS KIDS GO! video player offers hundreds of video clips and dozens of full-length episodes, using video solutions based on the Adobe Flash platform, the number one platform for video on the Web. With its enhanced video content and interactive games, the KIDS GO! site has been streaming more than one million clips each week since its September launch, with interactive clips receiving triple the views and longer engagement times than videos without the interactivity.
