Raccoon Puppet

  • Cardboard food container
  • Felt
  • Fabric
Wash and dry a cardboard food container like on in which peanuts are packaged. Place the bottom of the container on a piece of felt and trace around the edge with a pencil or marker. Cut out the circle and glue it to the bottom of the container for the top of the puppet.

Cut felt ears and glue them to opposite sides of the container. Measure the container and cut a piece of felt to fit all the way around it. Glue the felt in place.

Make eyes, a nose, and a mouth from felt. Attach them with glue. Cut a piece of fabric to fit around the inside ege of the container and to cover part of your arm. Spread some glue around the inside edge and wait until glue is tacky.

Press the fabric into the glue and let dry. Place your arm and hand inside the container to move your puppet.
