A traditional every day cookie
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter - softened
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 6oz can frozen orange juice concentrate thawed
set aside 3 Tbsp orange juice concentrate separate
- 1/2 cup pecans - chopped
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 Tbsp water
- Sugar
Instructions
Heat
oven to 375F.
In a Large bowl combine sugar, butter and eggs
and beat until light and fluffy.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Add to sugar mixture, alternatingly with orange juice.
Mix well after each addition. Stir in pecans and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased
cookie sheets. Bake for 7 to 11 minutes until golden
brown.
Immediately remove from cookie sheet and cool on
wire racks.
In a small bowl, combine 3 Tbsp orange juice and water.
Brush over the tops of the cookies and sprinkle with
sugar.
Makes 5 dozen.
