i-Star's Amazing Activity Toys Create Incredible Light Shows in Kids' Hands; Toys Hit U.S. Shelves This Fall

NEW YORK - February 10, 2011 - Get ready for a cool and unique way to play! On the heels of a phenomenal debut at trade shows worldwide, i-Star Entertainment, a multi-brand toy and entertainment company, announced today that their patent pending Fyrflyz™, the widely-anticipated light-up toys that allow kids to create an amazing light show in their hands, will make their U.S. debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City, February 13 through 16 at the Javits Center. Future Fyrflyz enthusiasts will be able to find the electrifying toys at U.S. retailers nationwide beginning fall 2011.

"We were very pleased that Fyrflyz received spectacular reviews from retailers at the U.K. Toy Fair in late January," said Joel Rosenzweig, President of i-Star Entertainment. "We are thrilled U.S. retailers are on board and equally as excited about Fyrflyz at New York Toy Fair this month - the product is affordable, collectible and appeals to kids of all ages."

With a rich history in the toy industry, i-Star CEO Marty Abrams has been the driving force behind a number of successful product launches over the past 35 years. Abrams feels strongly about the success of Fyrflyz. "i-Star is a leading toy developer and has earned a reputation for identifying, creating and bringing to market some of the hottest and most innovative products for kids, tweens and teens, " said Abrams. "With the introduction of Fyrflyz we will deliver a one-of-kind entertainment experience for fans of all ages."

Each Fyrflyz toy is a precision balanced instrument designed to spin on its axis. Simply by swinging the connected two strings and applying tension or allowing slack, kids create a continuous movement (figure eights, rings, etc). The fun begins when the lights go out and the Fyrflyz multi-color LED lights turn the movement into an amazing light show - right in their own hands - that kids can play themselves or show their friends.

Spin your Fyrflyz to create a wide array of tricks: turn them sideways to create slick Sidewinders, pull tight to create whizzing black holes or loosen the strings to make shooting Stars or Loop de Loops - the more kids spin, the more unique their tricks. Kids are only bound by their imagination and skill. Fyrflyz will be available in a variety of light colors making them a collectible for all ages.

Fyrflyz are made using a Uni-body shell with batteries, multi-color LED lights with soft, safety tips, an on/off switch, strings and double safety grip handles. Fyrflyz will be on display at the Javits center February 13 through 16 in the Can You Imagine Booth #949 and Schylling Booth #2302. Available nationwide in the fall, Fyrflyz will retail for under $10. i-Star will support the strategic rollout of Fyrflyz in the U.S. with a major national television advertising campaign, social media outreach and PR programs. Fyrflyz will make its international debut in June 2011.
